Keneco is currently accepting applications for a contract Environmental Project Manager in their reclamation and remediation division. You will be supported by a team of Agrologists, Technologists and Technicians to execute all aspects of projects.

Responsibilities will entail:

 

  • Phase 1 ESA and Contaminated site review,
  • Development of Phase 2 and 3 ESA programs for abandoned sites and spills;
  • Coordinate field programs and provide support to onsite field personnel;
  • Work closely with other team members to achieve site specific remediation guidelines and site closure for oil and gas sites in the abandonment process;
  • Reporting project status and cost tracking;
  • Prepare and provide senior review of Phase 2 ESA reports, remediation reports and spill reports;
  • Travel to project locations may be required at times.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • University Degree or Technical Diploma in Environmental Science, engineering or related studies;
  • Ability to Sign-off and a member in good standing with provincial association (SIA, AIA, APEGS, APEGA, TPS);
  • 5-10 years of reclamation/remediation project experience;
  • Strong understanding of Alberta and Saskatchewan reclamation and remediation guidelines;
  • Ability to manage people and provide direction;
  • Experience with a variety of remedial techniques including excavation, in-situ treatment, and risk assessment;
  • Experience completing Site Specific Liability Assessments (SSLA) would be considered an asset;
  • Experience with Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Soil and Groundwater Remediation Guidelines;
  • Some practical experience with hydrogeology would be an asset;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Keneco is currently accepting applications for an Environmental Project Manager in their reclamation and remediation  division. You will be supported by a team of Agrologists, Technologists and Technicians to execute all aspects of projects.

The position duties will entail but not be limited to:

  • Direct point of contact and accountable to the client;
  • Liaising with regulators;
  • Coordinate field programs and provide support to onsite field personnel;
  • Responsible for reporting project status and cost tracking to the client via platforms such as Siteview and ARKIT;
  • Prepare and provide senior review of a variety of environmental reports including Phase I, II, and Phase III ESAs;
  • Assist with the execution of marketing plans to explore new business opportunities;
  • Environmental bid preparations and submission to the client;
  • Assist in recruiting additional team members, as required;
  • Participation in the on-going improvement of company policy, procedures and protocols (office, field and safety);
  • Travel to project locations may be required at times.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in environmental science, engineering or related studies;
  • Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization;
  • 10 years of reclamation/remediation project experience;
  • Ability to manage multiple people and provide direction;
  • Experience with a variety of remedial techniques including excavation, in-situ treatment, and risk assessment;
  • Some practical experience with physical hydrogeology would be an asset;
  • Strong understanding of Alberta and Saskatchewan reclamation and remediation guidelines;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
